Satellite Payload

The products for QKD satellite payloads are characterized by their modularity. This allows the use of very different satellite platforms. The subsystems of the payload are compactly designed and have all common interface standards to the satellite bus.

A satellite payload contains the following major subsystems:

Satellite payload QSS1

The QSS1 satellite payload is represented by its compactness. The main subsystems and their parameters are listed in the table down below.

The QSS1 payload is currently under development. Delivery of the first flight models will take place from August 2025.

Satellite payload QSS2

EPS systems could be integrated in addition to the FPS. A pure BBM92 mission without FPS and MOSM would also be possible. The QSS2 payload is currently under development. Delivery of the first flight models will start in November 2026.
